The Perfect Boiled Eggs
- 2 biodynamic/organic egg
- organic salted butter
The humble egg is one nature’s superfood and perhaps the most versatile food on the planet. As a kid I loved a boiled egg with some butter and salt – simple but divine!
It’s not always easy to secure the perfect egg, and as a parent I know all too well, if the egg isn’t cooked right then breakfast can be a write-off 😉
The key is to place the eggs in a small saucepan and cover with enough water to just cover the eggs. Place on a high heat with the lid on til boiling. Remove from the heat, keep the lid on and set a timer for 6 minutes.
This method will ensure the yolk is still soft and the white isn’t rubbery and overcooked. Adjust the time to suit your preference. I then use a knife to take the top off the egg and pop some butter on to melt into the yolk….YUM!
