Spiced Turmeric Latte

  • mug coconut milk/cream (nut milk will work also)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • dash vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp honey

Seems odd to be talking about a warming latte in early Jan – but the weather is more indicative of Winter at the moment in Sydney.

This can be whipped up in minutes and will surely satisfy – Tumeric contains curcumin which is a powerful anti inflammatory…pound for pound the most powerful going!!

Measure out a mug of coconut cream or milk and gently heat with a cinnamon stick.  Meanwhile put the kettle on. In your mug put the spices, vanilla and honey and mix with a dash of boiling water.  Stir using a spoon and then add to the coconut milk/cream and bring to a gently simmer.  Remove from the heat and fill you mug.  Enjoy!
