  • large handful ice
  • 200mls coconut cream
  • 1 tbs tahini
  • 1-2 tbs pea protein
  • large handful blueberries
  • 1 tbs maca

Hello friends,

Here’s a wicked recipe for a smoothie bowl.  The process is super easy and only requires throwing everything into a blender and topping with some of your favorite crunchy stuff.  I’ve used this recipe as a post workout refuel, hence the addition of protein powder.

I’ve topped with some coconut, activated buckwheat, sunflower seeds and pepitas.

As I’m sure you’ve probably noticed I rarely add sugar to my recipes, but rather rely on the natural sweetness in food to tick that box.  By adding more sugar I believe we are simply continuing on the sugar-cycle which can be tricky to come off in the long term.  This healthful bowl is packed full of natural fats, antioxidants and energy-providing maca.  Maca is a Peruvian root and is well known for it’s benefits on stamina and endurance, making a natural  ergogenic aid choice.
